Your Beautiful Future In Cosmetology or Esthetics
The U.S. Department of Labor predicts employment of hair stylists and colorists, cosmetologists and nail techs to grow by 20% through 2018. Job openings for estheticians and other skin care specialists are predicted to grow almost 38%. The U.S. Department of Labor also considers this to be much faster than average growth for all categories. In today’s economic climate, the odds just don’t get better than that.
Some of the reasons for growth in cosmetologist and esthetician employment is due to an increasing population, but it’s so much more than that. People always have special occasions such as weddings, proms, birthday parties and networking events to attend. A day at the spa is becoming a quick vacation hot spot for people rather than a full blown vacation that the average person just can’t afford or doesn’t have the time to take off from work. In addition, society as a whole is starting to understand the health benefits gained from looking and feeling good. If someone goes into a job interview now a days, they want to look their absolute best like a highly trained professional that is very confident in what their doing. It’s almost a safe assumption that there will always be a need for talented, knowledgeable and skilled beauty professionals.
